What to expect

Your first home visit, start to finish.

No surprises, no awkwardness. Here is exactly how it works, from the first message to the day after your treatment.

1

Before we arrive

We confirm your booking, treatment and any health questions by message. Clear a space of roughly 2m by 2.5m, and that is all the prep you need.

2

Setup, 5 minutes

Your practitioner arrives with a professional couch, fresh linens and all equipment, and sets up wherever suits: lounge, spare room or home office.

3

Assessment & treatment

First visits start with a short consultation and movement assessment, then the hands-on work. You are in control throughout: pressure, pace and privacy.

4

Aftercare

You get simple aftercare guidance and, where useful, a couple of mobility drills. We pack down, and your sofa is right there. Rest easy.

FAQ

Questions everyone asks.

What space do I need at home?

A clear area of roughly two metres by two and a half metres, enough for the treatment couch and room to work around it. Most lounges, spare rooms and even large hallways work fine.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move in. For massage and cupping we only uncover the area being treated, and you are draped with towels throughout. Your comfort and privacy lead every decision.

Does cupping hurt? Will I have marks?

Cupping feels like a strong pulling sensation rather than pain. Circular marks are normal and usually fade within three to ten days. They are not bruises, and we always explain what to expect for your skin type before treating.

How is hijama kept safe and hygienic at home?

Every hijama session uses sterile, single-use cups and blades, disposed of in a sharps container. Skin is prepared and dressed to clinical standards, gloves are worn throughout, and full aftercare instructions are provided.

Who should not have cupping or hijama?

Some conditions and medications need extra care or make treatment unsuitable, for example blood-thinning medication, certain skin conditions, or pregnancy. This is exactly what the pre-treatment consultation is for; tell us your history and we will advise honestly.

How will I feel afterwards?

Most people feel loose, calm and sometimes pleasantly tired. Deep work can leave a day or so of mild soreness, similar to after a good workout. Drink water, keep gently moving and avoid intense training for 24 hours.

How many sessions will I need?

Simple tension often improves in one or two visits. Longer-standing patterns typically respond best to a short course of three sessions, then maintenance as needed. We will always give you an honest view rather than sell you sessions.

How do I pay?

Card, bank transfer or cash on the day, whatever is easiest. Payment details are confirmed when you book.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens. Give us 24 hours' notice and there is no charge; we will simply rearrange your visit for a better time.
